Lecturer in Language Acquisition and Cognitive Linguistics (fixed-term, teaching-focused)

    The School of Arts, Languages and Cultures at the University of Manchester invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for a temporary teaching-focused Lectureship in Linguistics, tenable for 6 months from 1 January 2019. 

    The succesful applicant will teach two modules which are offered as options on Undergraduate single and joint honours programmes in Linguistics and English Language: a 2nd year module in Cognitive Linguistics, and a 3rd year module in First and Second Language Acquisition. The latter is also open as Enhanced Option to MA students. 

    The lecturer will be expected to teach all lectures and seminars/tutorials, including any additional tutorials for MA students, and undertake all the marking for those two modules, to update and maintain a virtual learning environment on Blackboard for those two modules, to hold two office hours and to answer student queries by email. There is no expectation of performing administrative duties.
