The Institute of English Studies is seeking two new members from outside the University of London. The deadline is the end of October 2018. They are particularly interested in representatives with expertise in English Language/Linguistics and they have contacted us to ask us to urge LAGB members to apply.

This is noted in the call: The Advisory Council strongly encourages applications from early career researchers, as well as researchers with interests in minority literatures, creative writing, and English language/linguistics. The Council is committed to equality and diversity among its membership.

You should send a brief letter and a short CV (no longer than three pages), outlining your reasons for applying, relevant experience, and an indication of the qualities you feel you will bring to the role. These should be sent to the Institute Manager Christopher Adams at Christopher.adams@sas.ac.uk.

For further details, please see the IES Advisory Council call document.
