    Applications are invited for a full-time Lectureship/Senior Lectureship in English Language and Linguistics. We are looking for applicants with expertise in research alongside experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.

    We are seeking applications from highly motivated candidates who will be involved in the delivery of a range of modules across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We are specifically looking to appoint someone who can teach in a combination of any of the following areas:

    •  sociolinguistics,
    •  critical discourse analysis
    •  conversation analysis,
    •  language and the media,
    •  applied linguistics (TESOL),
    •  language and the law,
    •  phonetics and phonology.

    In addition, the willingness and ability to develop courses in the fields of social media and language, multimodal analysis, corpus linguistics or language in the workplace are very welcome.

    Applicants must be willing to teach across all levels and across a range of topics. You should enjoy working collaboratively, within a multidisciplinary environment. You will have a research profile commensurable with your level of appointment as well as experience of teaching in higher education.
