[Please pass on to potential applicants.] There is a range of funding available for excellent projects in all areas of linguistics at Edinburgh, including internally-funded scholarships and funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). The application deadline to be considered for funding is FRIDAY 24TH NOVEMBER 2017. All candidates must have submitted an application for a PhD place at Edinburgh by that date, and the application for a PhD place doubles as the application for some internal funding. Applicants are advised to contact potential supervisors in advance of the 24th November deadline, in order to discuss their applications.
