We are pleased to annouce a free workshop that we are holding at SOAS on Friday June 3rd, entitled:
Languages or dialects?
Celebrating the diversity of Arabic
This one-day workshop features scholars from across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, with presentations on linguistic and cultural aspects of the Arabic-based languages/dialects of Malta, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine and South Sudan.
The workshop is aimed primarily at those who have studied (or speak) at least some Arabic, but anyone with an interest in the diversity of Arabic language and culture is most welcome to attend. No registration necessary. The programme can be viewed here.
