    This year's ACTL summer school will focus on linguistic theory, universals, and (artificial) language learning.

    The school will offer the following courses:

    "Semantics in Language Acquisition" - Kristen Syrett (Rutgers)

    "Syntactic universals in the lab: New methods and approaches" - Jennifer Culbertson (Edinburgh)

    "Universal biases in phonological learning" - James White (UCL)

    tba - Alex Clark (King's College) and Charles Yang (UPenn)

    Linguistic Subfield:

    Cognitive Science, General Linguistics, Language Acquisition, Linguistic Theories, Psycholinguistics, Semantics, Syntax, Typology

    Explanation of Tuition:

    The fees go towards the cost of running the school and are waved for students from Cambridge, Oxford, Kent, Queen Mary, SOAS, and UCL.
