    Language X.0: The AI Revolution in Language Education

    Date: 06/09/23, 11am-1.30pm

    Location: Online, hosted by the University of Kent

    Conference Organisers: Wissia Fiorucci and Alvise Sforza Tarabochia

    This conference aims to bring together educators, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to explore the transformative role of AI in the field of language learning and teaching. We invite scholars and professionals to share their insights, experiences, and research findings in this exciting and rapidly evolving area.

    Submission Guidelines: We welcome submissions from colleagues at all career stages, including those working in secondary and higher education, as well as language schools. We invite contributions that explore various aspects of AI technology and its applications in language classes and programs. While not limited to these areas, topics of interest encompass assessment, engagement, and innovation.

    We also accept submissions in various formats, including individual abstracts, workshops, synchronous and asynchronous papers, and panels. Individual abstracts should not exceed 300 words in length, while panels and workshops should include a title and a concise description as well as, for panels, individual abstracts.

    Important Dates:

    • Deadline for abstract submissions: 15 August
    • Notification of acceptance: by 16 August
    • Deadline for receipt of asynchronous papers: 1 September
    • Conference date: 6 September (online)
