The next Annual Meeting of the LAGB will take place at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, UK (29 Aug – 1 Sep 2023).

In addition to the general session, LAGB 2023 has space for a number of themed sessions which focus on a particular topic in linguistics. Such sessions will normally include 4 to 8 presentations, and run across one or two sessions at the conference.

We are currently accepting submissions for themed session proposals, and we particularly welcome submissions from subfields which have typically been less well represented at our annual meetings. Proposals should include the title of the session, a brief description of the topic it will cover, and any relevant references cited in the proposal. The proposal should not include abstracts for any particular talks, nor should it specifically list any proposed participants. The proposal should be no longer than one A4 page with margins of at least 2.5cm, using single spaced Times New Roman font of at least size 12. One additional page may be used for references, if necessary.

For any themed sessions which are accepted to the conference, abstracts will be solicited alongside the general call for papers, which will be published in due course.

Completed themed session proposals should be emailed to the LAGB meetings secretaries Jenny Amos  (Jennifer.Amos@uos.ac.uk) and Vahid Parvaresh (vahid.parvaresh@aru.ac.uk) by 20 January 2023 (5 pm).
