    PhD Studentship in Linguistics and English Language

    The School of Arts, Languages and Cultures at the University of Manchester is offering one PhD Studentship in Linguistics and English Language. This award is open to any applicants starting their PhD programme in September 2013 who have been accepted onto the PhD Linguistics or PhD English Language programme. However, preference will be given to candidates intending to work on Comparative Philology or Historical Linguistics.


    The award is worth £10,000 in total. This will cover the Home/EU rate of fees (£3,900 for 2013-2014) with the remaining amount to be paid as a maintenance award (£6,100 for 2013-2014).

     

    The closing date for receipt of the Funding Application Form for this Studentship is Friday 12 April 2013. To ensure that you are holding an offer of a place by the closing date, you are advised to submit your online application for a place on the programme no later than Tuesday 12 March 2013.
