'Impact in Linguistics' is a half-day symposium to be held at the University of Huddersfield on 17th August 2018. The event is free to attend and will be followed by a book launch and wine reception for 'Applying Linguistics: Language and the Impact Agenda' (McIntyre and Price, 2018). 

The day will focus on the research impact of linguistic research as defined by the REF as well as wider impact, so will be of interest to researchers working outside of the UK REF. The event will also be a good introduction to research impact for PhD students and ECRs.
