The Department of Linguistics and English Language of the University of Manchester is supporting applications to the Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellowship scheme:

The scheme offers three years' postdoctoral funding to candidates who will have submitted their doctoral thesis by the closing date of 4.00pm on 7 March 2013.
Expressions of interest are invited from potential applicants by
30 January 2013. Potential applicants should contact Dr Ricardo Bermúdez-Otero at
r.bermudez-otero@manchester.ac.uk providing the following documents:
• A one-page CV,
• Project title,
• 100-word abstract,
• Brief statement explaining how the project would fit with the Department of Linguistics and English Language of the University of Manchester,
• Project description (max. 2 sides of A4).
The project description should comply with the following Leverhulme guidelines:
“This should include aims, objectives, methodology and outcome (e.g. publication plans). It should enable the Committee and your referees to form an estimate of the scope and importance of your proposal. The methodology should be clear and explicit, comprehensible to a non-expert. Include any bibliographic references in full, including page numbers where relevant. This statement and the bibliographic references may not exceed two sides of A4. Please add your name at the top of the first page.”
A selection from those expressions of interest received by 30 January 2013 will be made within approximately 10 days of the deadline.
