The 8th Newcastle-upon-Tyne Postgraduate Conference in Linguistics

We are pleased to announce the 8th Newcastle-upon-Tyne Postgraduate Conference in Linguistics.
We invite postgraduate students to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations on any area of linguistics (please see attachment for submission guidelines).
This one-day conference is designed to give linguistics postgraduates from all research areas an opportunity to present and discuss their research in an informal and intellectually stimulating setting.
The conference will take place at Newcastle University on Monday 5th of April 2012, in the Herschel Building, Newcastle University, with a conference dinner in the evening.
KEY DATES
Deadline for submission of abstracts: Friday, 11th January 2013.
Notification of acceptance: Mid February 2013.

PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
Accepted abstracts will be allotted 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for discussion. There will be a dedicated poster session on the day of the conference. Speakers will also be invited to submit their paper for publication in the Newcastle Working Papers in Linguistics.
