The Student Committee would like to invite nominations from student
members of the LAGB for two Ordinary Member positions. The role is to
begin at the LAGB meeting in London in August 2013. A term on
the Student Committee lasts three years, or until the September after
the committee member is no longer a student member of the LAGB
    (whichever is soonest).

If you are interested in becoming a member of the LAGB Student
Committee, please send your nomination to
lagbsc@googlemail.com before Monday the 24th of June and
include details of your institution and also the name of a
supervisor/tutor who can confirm that you are an active student member
    of the department.

The LAGB Student Committee was created in 2008 and is made up entirely
of linguistics students. The committee aims to represent the concerns
of student members of the LAGB and to encourage co-operation and
collaboration between linguistics departments in matters relating to
postgraduates, as well as providing information pertaining to the
activities of the LAGB to student members. It is also responsible for
formulating and overseeing the procedure for postgraduate conference
organizers to apply for funding from the LAGB.

Please see our Terms of Reference for details of the position:
    http://www.lagb.org.uk/student_cttee_docs/Terms%20of%20reference.pdf.

    Best wishes,
On behalf of the LAGB Student Committee,
    Ruba Khamam (Chair)
