AccommodationDelegates are asked to make their own arrangements for accommodation. Accommodation in the Bloomsbury area of London can be expensive. One night usually costs between £80 and £130, depending on the hotel. Note that the The conference will be held in buildings in and around the Wilkins Portico of the UCL Main Building on Gower Street (WC1E 6BT). A list of hotels and near to UCL are available here: https://www.soas.ac.uk/visitors/location/hotels/ The cheapest (although not necessarily the nicest) large hotels within the Bloomsbury area are run by a single company. En suite rooms cost from £81 per night depending on the hotel. The Tavistock Hotel is the closest to UCL, but all of them are within around 10 minutes walking distance from the venue: https://www.imperialhotels.co.uk/ For cheaper accommodation (£45-65 per night), there are a number of Halls of Residence owned by the London School of Economics and Political Science nearby. Expect to pay £65 for an en suite single room and £45 for a room with a shared bathroom. All of the Halls listed with a WC1 or WC2 postcode are in Central London and within reasonable walking distance of UCL (the furthest is 20 minutes walk according to Google Maps): For those on a tighter budget, there are lots of hostels close to UCL too: Automatic membership for non-membersRegistration for the full package by non-members includes automatic LAGB membership until January 2017 for waged delegates (15 months membership) and membership until January 2018 for unwaged delegates (27 months membership).
