Dear All,
As you may know
the ESRC are currently seeking to appoint new members to their Committees and Grant Assessment Panels. Further details, including vacancy specifications and application forms are currently available on the ESRC website at:
http://www.esrc.ac.uk/vacancies.aspx
The vacancies in the Grant Assessment Panels are not obviously linked to Linguistics, but linguists could apply for positions on the three policy committees:
- The Methods and Infrastructure Committee oversees and sets policy for ESRC data services, surveys, research methods and information environment.
- The Research Committee oversees and sets policy for ESRC research funding and investments, both managed and responsive. It will not make funding decisions on responsive mode applications, the structure for which is set out below.
- The Training and Skills Committee provides strategic direction to the ESRC's efforts to improve the quality of research training for social science researchers in the UK.
Please note that this is not a nomination process. Applications, with a CV (no longer than two pages) and a Supporting Statement (for Committees only), should be submitted directly to the ESRC no later than 5.00pm on 1 February 2012, as follows:
Committee applications: Angela Newton Angela.Newton@esrc.ac.uk
Panels applications: Gavin Salisbury Gavin.Salisbury@esrc.ac.uk (01793 413136)
In case you are interested in the policy committees, questions or queries that are not covered in the vacancy specification can be addressed to Claire Peart by email claire.peart@esrc.ac.uk or telephone 01793 413145.
Kind regards,
Ad Neeleman
