The School of European Culture and Languages at the University of Kent is looking to support at least one Leverhulme Early Career Fellow in 2012. The School includes Departments of Classical and Archaeological Studies, Comparative Literature, English Language & Linguistics, French, German, Hispanic Studies, Italian, Religious Studies, and Philosophy.

The fellowship could be held within
any of the Sections or Centres of the  School. Applicants will of course need to engage with the research interests of staff in the School. For further details, see:

    http://www.kent.ac.uk/secl/researchcentres/index.html

Those wishing to be considered for selection should submit: 1) a CV, 2) a one page summary of their research proposal, 3) a statement outlining why Kent is the ideal place to hold a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship.  All three items should be submitted to d.c.hornsby@kent.ac.uk by the end of January at the latest. Please pay careful attention to eligibility, which needs to be checked by potential applicants before considering an application – see http://www.leverhulme.ac.uk/funding/ECF/ECF.cfm.
