Salary £38.63 per hour plus 12.07% holiday pay
We are seeking to appoint an Associate Tutor to teach at undergraduate and masters level. The appointment will involve teaching a level 3 module 'Global Diversity in Language and Communication' in the autumn semester and a separate masters-level module of the same name in the spring. The total number of hours per week will be six divided as follows: teaching a two-hour session for students each Thursday, from 13.00 to 15.00; availability for two hours per week in each semester for consultation with students and pastoral care; plus two hours per week for marking and updating existing online materials in consultation with Dr Dunstan Brown and Dr Marina Chumakina.
Teaching will start as soon as possible in the autumn semester and finish on Friday, 15th June 2012.
The successful applicant will have a postgraduate qualification in linguistics. He/she will have strong skills in written and oral communication. Good organisational and IT skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently.
