    Working in the School of Humanities you will possess a strong background in Linguistics with a particular emphasis on two or more of the following areas: Psycholinguistics, Language Acquisition, Phonology, Morphology, Sign Language or Syntax. A good (1 or 2:1) degree in a relevant area, ideally a relevant PhD (or near completion), evidence of research outputs and a commitment to working with students from a range of educational backgrounds are essential. Experience of course and module development and evidence of excellence in teaching and of high quality research are also required. Job sharers welcome.

    Based in the School of Humanities, you will possess a strong background in English Language with a particular emphasis on two or more of the following areas: relationship between language and gender, relationship between language and power/identity/social class/persuasion, sociolinguist research methods, interactional sociolinguistics: discourse analysis, cross-cultural communication, politeness and framing, relationship between language and text: either in the area of stylistics and/or in the area of discourse analysis, historical linguistics. A good (1 or 2:1) degree in a relevant area, ideally a relevant PhD (or be near completion), evidence of research outputs and a commitment to working with students from a range of educational backgrounds are essential. Experience of course and module development and experience and evidence of excellence in teaching with high quality research are also required. Job sharers welcome.
