We warmly invite you to join us at the upcoming BAAL/Cambridge University Press Seminar on “(Re-)Exploring Ethics in Applied Linguistics Research”, taking place on 23 June 2025, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Northumbria University (primarily in-person with hybrid element).

The event will explore ethical complexities across diverse areas of applied linguistics and offer a space for reflection, dialogue, and networking. Invited panel members will share their insights on the following topics:

·                Ethics and Research Ethics Committee

·                Ethics and research with vulnerable groups 

·                Ethics and Online Research 

·                Ethics and the Global South Contexts

The programme also features a poster session and group discussion with delegates. Within UK Travel scholarships are available for current students, early-career researchers (within 2 years of PhD completion) and possibly those with limited access to funding. Catering is provided through the day!

• for poster presenters: 1 June 2025
• for non-presenting participants: 10 June 2025

 Notification of Results: 26 May 2025
