The REF for Linguists: 4–5pm GMT, Friday 18th November
You are warmly invited to participate in an online session to find out and discuss what lessons for the future the UK linguistics community can take from how submissions from our field were evaluated in REF 2021.
This one-hour session will take place on Zoom, Friday 18th November, 4–5pm, GMT.
To attend, please register via the link https://bit.ly/3WkrNga. The zoom joining instruction will be sent to registered participants nearer the time.
The event will feature four REF 2021 panel members who participated in the sub-panels for Education, Modern Languages & Linguistics, and English Language & Literature: Professors Debra Myhill, Charles Forsdick, Elena Semino, and Susan Hunston.
The panellists will be giving their top tips, and a good deal of the session will be set aside for Q&A. The overall aim of the session is to enable the community to show our discipline in the best light as we look to future assessments. Knowledge is power!
This event has been co-organised by the LAGB, BAAL, and PhilSoc.
