Applications are invited for a research post in the Surrey Morphology Group, for a period of two and a half years, available from 1 October 2012. This post is for the project ‘Endangered complexity: Inflectional classes in Oto-Manguean languages’, co-funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and the Arts and Humanities Research Council. The project directors are Prof. Greville G. Corbett, Dr Matthew Baerman, Prof. Dunstan Brown and Dr Enrique L. Palancar.

Applicants should hold a PhD or expect to complete all requirements for the PhD prior to appointment. Applicants should have a solid background in one or both of the following areas: linguistic typology and morphological theory.
