Final Call for Papers

         The 7th Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Postgraduate Conference in Linguistics

Deadline for submission of abstracts has been extended till Tuesday, 9th
January 2012

The 7th Newcastle Upon Tyne PG Conference in Linguistics will take place
on Monday, 26th March 2012
Location: Research Beehive, Newcastle University

Newcastle University in collaboration with Northumbria University invites
postgraduate students from all research areas in linguistics, theoretical
linguistics, language acquisition, applied linguistics, etc. to submit
abstracts for oral and poster presentations in the 7th Newcastle-upon-Tyne
Postgraduate conference in linguistics.

Keynote speakers: David Crystal, Honorary Professor of Linguistics
(University of Wales, Bangor), and
Noel Burton-Roberts, Professor of English Language and Linguistics
(Newcastle University)

Accepted abstracts will be allotted 20 minutes for presentation and 10
minutes for discussion. There will be a dedicated poster session on the
day of the conference. Speakers will also be invited to submit their paper
for publication in the Newcastle Working Papers in Linguistics.
