The School of Arts, Language and Cultures at the University of Manchester invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time (1 FTE) temporary teaching-focused Lectureship in Psycholinguistics and Semantics, tenable from 2nd January 2024 until 31st July 2024, to provide cover for a colleague on leave.

Applicants should hold a PhD or have equivalent expertise in Linguistics or Psychology or related fields, and  specialise in psycholinguistics and/or semantic theory at its interfaces with syntax and pragmatics, combined with a track record of robust experimental work. They will also be expected to contribute to the management of a newly furbished Psycholinguistics Lab, and to undertake some additional first or second marking and/or contribute to the teaching for other course units in Psycholinguistics and Semantics as arranged with the Head of Department.

The closing date for applications is 4/12/2023.
